AVALANCHE ROOKIES

A group of rookies take on the mountains of Assiniboine. With the help of their guides, these skiers and snowboarders learn the ins and outs of backcountry skiing while learning to be aware of their human faults. With the severe avalanche conditions they were faced with, self awareness was a critical element to their survival.

When tattoo artist Paul “Mexone” Vetne gets hit with a stroke and gets put on dialysis, he closes his tattoo shop and moves back with his family in Tennessee. He uses art and the philosophy his father taught him to keep moving forward.
